She’s A Thief and Gottaluvtrucks are our two runners at Caulfield on Saturday.

She’s A Thief is the first to go in race two, the Benchmark 84 Handicap over 1100m for fillies and mares with Michael Dee riding from barrier seven.

The daughter of Showcasing has run well all three of her starts this preparation, finishing fourth over 1100m at Flemington last time out, and Mike Moroney is anticipating another forward showing today.

“It’s a small field but a strong one,” Moroney said. “We haven’t done a huge amount with her since the last start but our filly is training well.

“There doesn’t look to be a huge amount of speed in the race and the wide draw might not be too much of a disadvantage.

“The weather is always a concern but if she can bring the form she has been showing recently then I’m expecting her to run well again.”

Gottaluvtrucks (pictured) is in race six, the Benchmark 64 Handicap over 1400m with Jake Noonan in the saddle and jumping from barrier 13 after scratchings.

It is the second start this preparation for Gottaluvtrucks, which finished fourth over 1200m at Echuca and making up good ground in the home straight, on December 12.

“I thought his first-up run was excellent and he’s progressed nicely from that,” Moroney said.

“The draw is no help so we will likely go back and ride him quietly to give him a chance to run home.

“His work has been terrific and if he has improved a bit then that should put him in the race with a good chance.”
