Co-trainer Pam Gerard said: “Targhee has done since her last start (on the course), where she went super, and improved off that run. It looks a tough field, but she has drawn well (5) and has a good jockey. She only has to finish off like last time to get some of the money. We are happy with her condition, worked up nicely, and doing everything right.”

“Za Za Gabor went very well for second last time. She has pleased in her work and very well in herself. It is a big step up to the Rich Hill Mile (Gr. 2, 1600m), but she is a quality mare, drawn well (6), and gets in on the minimum weight.”

“Pinmedown backs up after a huge run here on Boxing Day. She has again drawn wide (16), so she will go back and try and pick a path through them. Hopefully she can see out the 2400m. She is bright, came through the last run pretty well, and although not an easy task a few favours in running would certainly help. She is a tough mare that keeps giving.” Pictured
