Living Dangerously and Vantastic represent the stable at Mornington on Tuesday.

The daughter of Wanted is getting closer to a win and was beaten just under half a length when runner-up to Rich Itch over 1110m at Sale on August 15 and Mike Moroney is hoping she can go one better today.

“She’s not the easiest to train but she’s racing well this preparation and I can’t fault her,” Moroney said.

“She’s drawn to get the right run and Michael has had a ride on her now so she has a few things in her favour.

“There looks a bit of form in the race and a couple of well-bred first starters but she’s fit and well and will certainly keep them honest for a fair way.”

Vantastic resumes in race four, the Maiden Plate over 1500m with Jordan Childs riding from barrier seven.

It is the first start for the son of Animal Kingdom since he finished fifth over 1427m at Sale in February and the four-year-old is ready to go.

“He’s been set to go for a little while but we’ve scratched because of barriers and track so it will be good to get him started,” Moroney said.

“He’s a nice staying prospect who has only had the two starts but he’s shown us glimpses of ability.

“Mornington is not the ideal circuit for him but he needs to kick off and I’m looking for him to be running on at the finish.”
