Pulse colours set for a big week?

It was straight to the front for up-and-coming three-year-old Noble Park at Sandown on Wednesday and that is where the lightly raced bay stayed – able to hold off a strong late challenge to win in determined style.

Having only his third start, the promising son of Pins was an easy debut winner at Sale in February, subsequently getting back in a slowly run race at Sandown and finishing on strongly for fifth.

Well rated in front by Craig Williams, Noble Park was always travelling like the winner and he has a good opinion of the well related gelding – “he is still a big, rangy horse,” he said, “but he will develop into a really nice horse.”

“Mike has done a really good job taking his time with him,” he added.

Always well regarded by the stable, Noble Park may now head to Queensland depending on how he comes through this latest victory.

“We have always had a really good opinion of him,” said the stable’s Anthony Feroce – “we think he has a bright future.”

A $70,000 yearling purchase for Paul Moroney, Noble Park hails from the prolific Gr.1 family of Denise's Joy, Joie Denise, Sunday Joy, Thorn Park, Euphoria, Arlington Road, Tuesday Joy, Miss Danehill, Joie de Grise, Bentley Biscuit and Saturday’s Doncaster Handicap favourite More Joyous.

He is raced by Rohan & Kate Aujard, Rhett Tregunna, Paul Williams, Allison Cratchley, Rod Whinfield, Patrick Pinnell, Peter Pinnell, Rupert & Cheryl Legh Racing and Gurners Bloodstock Co and hopefully his Pulse colours will again be seen in winning action at Randwick on Saturday with Brazilian Pulse contesting the AJC Oaks and King Pulse The Galaxy...
