1.02 p.m. R2 10 Salt Bay (4 m Redwood – Marsh Harbour, by Volksraad) – Jake Bayliss; spelled after racing in June and resumes in the $10,000 Maiden 1200 metres. Second-up in April, she flew home late for second here to subsequent dual winner Icebomb (Darci Brahma), with Bayliss aboard, over 1300 metres on Dead5 footing. Drawn barrier seven in the $10,000 Maiden 1200 metres, she has the talent to get home strongly off a conservative trip. Fixed odds: $13.00 & $4.00

2.08 p.m. R4 10 Fly to the Moon (4 m Reliable Man – Fly Silca Fly, by Hawk Wing) – Jake Bayliss; was checked around the home turn in the Rating 65 2000 metres on 13 October at Matamata, and contests the $22,500 Rating 65 2100 metres. She ran very well two starts ago for fourth in the Rating 72 2100 metres at Avondale, and just requires the right trip from a wide barrier (12) to put her hand up in this field. Fixed odds: $6.20 & $2.20.

2.45 p.m. R5 6 Bocce (3 g Foxwedge – Whiffle, by Red Ransom) – Jake Bayliss; resumed three weeks ago in the 3YO 1215 metres at Rotorua, with Bayliss aboard, where it took a very good effort to beat him by subsequent Soliloquy Stakes (Gr. 3, 1400m) winner and 1000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m) third favourite Media Sensation (I Am Invincible). A debut winner before finishing third in the Karaka Million (Listed, 1200m) and fourth in the Sistema Stakes (Gr. 1, 1200m) during a very productive juvenile campaign, he shapes as a strong chance in the $25,000 Rating 72 1300 metres. Fixed odds: $6.50 & $2.40.

3.29 p.m. R6 8 Resurrect (6 g Shinko King – Errant, by Jungle Pocket) – Tegan Newman (a3); has been given time (35 days) since the Open 1200 metres at Avondale, and claims to 51kgs in the $35,000 Open 1300 metres. He was runner-up three times prior to Avondale, a course/distance winner on Dead6 at the corresponding meet last year, and Newman comes off a midweek success aboard stable-mate Wonder Woman (Showcasing). 4.11 p.m. R7 12 Saffron Lady (6 m Iffraaj – Colourfast, by Pentire) – Jake Bayliss; was solid in fifth before having no chance from back and wide, at her last two starts here in the Rating 72 1600 metres. Drawn wide (12) in the corresponding $25,000 Rating 72 1600 metres, she would benefit if the pattern of racing suits those getting home from off the pace. Fixed odds: $16.00 & $4.80.
