EAGLE RIDGE RESUMES ON WEDNESDAY

The promising Eagle Ridge resumes in the first race at Sale on Wednesday.

The son of Turffontein faces six rivals in the 3YO Benchmark 64 Handicap over 1200m with Patrick Moloney to ride and drawn barrier five.

Eagle Ridge has only raced twice for a second on debut and winning over 1400m at Warrnambool last November.

A $65,000 Inglis Premier yearling purchase by Paul Moroney, Eagle Ridge has already earned $46,800 in prizemoney and bonuses.

“It’s a small field but an even one with some reasonable form as you would expect for a race like this,” Moroney said.

“It’s a valuable race worth over $50,000 with the VOBIS bonuses so it will not be easy.”

Eagle Ridge has been prepared for the race with some pleasing jumpouts.

“His jumpouts have been really good and his work in between excellent,” Moroney said.

“He’s developed an enormous amount from the last preparation and it would certainly be a nice race to win at the start of this campaign.”
