FIGHT READY TO RUMBLE AT SANDOWN

Born To Fight has his second run this campaign at the Sandown twilight meeting on Wednesday.

Born To Fight runs in race six, the United Petroleum BM64 Handicap for three-year-olds over 1300m with Patrick Moloney to ride.

The son of Street Boss resumed with a solid fifth over 1200m at Ballarat on March 7, second until the final 100m and only beaten one length.

Mike Moroney has made an adjustment to the gear for Wednesday’s race.

“He’s drawn wide but on that nice big track we want to let him take his chance,” Moroney said.

“We’ve put the blinkers back on and even if he is slow away which he can be sometimes, I’m not too concerned.

“Even if he is a bit wide, if Patrick can get some cover it is a track you can make ground on if there is some pace on.”

Born To Fight is a stronger horse this time in and Moroney is confident the son of Street Boss will continue to progress.

“I’m very pleased with the horse, I think he’s going really well and I’m expecting him to win races this campaign,” Moroney said.

“If things go his way I do expect to see him in the finish in this race.”
