1.05 p.m. R2 16 Tenacious (3 f Niagara – Parole, by Towkay) – Jake Bayliss; was solid at the trials before being caught three wide near the pace when debuting on 15 December in the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres at Tauranga. She will require luck from a wide draw (13) in the $10,000 Maiden 1600 metres. Fixed odds: $25.00 & $6.50.

2.50 p.m. R5 13 Ivette (3 f Jimmy Choux – No Reins, Show A Heart) – Jake Bayliss; debuts in the $10,000 Maiden 1200 metres. Fifth when trialling here on Good3, give in the ground would suit. She looks in good order, has been working well, and should be able to position handily from barrier two. Fixed odds: $21.00 & $5.00.

4.04 p.m. R7 11 Avec Moi (4 m Pour Moi – Fuji Belle, by Fuji Kiseki) – Jake Bayliss; was found to be off colour after resuming here on 20 December in the $12,000 Rating 65 NZB Pearl Series 1400 metres and improved in health to contest the corresponding event. A winner third up, over this distance, she can produce a much improved performance from barrier two. Fixed odds: $15.00 & $4.50. Pictured

4.35 p.m. R8 7 Kane (5 m Darci Brahma – Dream Lass, by Dream Well) – Jake Bayliss; continued her solid form when finishing third in the Maiden 1600 metres on 14 December at Hastings, and steps in distance for the $10,000 Maiden 2000 metres. Placed seven times, she finished second over a mile at the corresponding meet last year and just requires luck from barrier 12 to again rate an each way chance. Fixed odds: $5.80 & $2.20.
