Making Australian debut. Trialled up and worked very well heading into this event. Even though his previous form has favoured a trip over 1400m, a win would be no surprise based on what we have seen from his ability.

3.30pm (5.30pm) – R7 – Hilton Nicholas Straight Six (1200m) - Listed

Yesterday’s Songs jumps from barrier 3 with Patrick Moloney aboard.

If he brings his A-game he will win this race. His fitness levels have improved since last run and comes in outstanding order. Looks the best horse in the race. Rain would assist.

Morphettville – Good 4 Track

2.25pm (4.25pm NZ) – R4 – UBET SA Fillies Classic (2500m) – Gp.3

Lilymorn jumps from barrier 15 with Damien Oliver aboard.

Not ideal draw for her, hopeful she flies the gates to allow her to race from a front running position. Has the quality to win, though the key is getting her to relaxing in the running.

Mojestic jumps from barrier 1 with Luke Currie aboard.

Ideal barrier draw. Confident she will get the distance. Ringcraft does some need improvement but if she can put it together on the day, she won’t be far away.

Vandancer jumps from barrier 3 with Ben Melham aboard.

Drawn well, very winnable race for her on form. Should be one of the ones to beat if she brings her best.

3.45pm (5.45pm NZ) – R6 – Hughes Limousines R A Lee Stakes (1600m) – Gp.3

Rhythm to Spare (pictured) jumps from barrier 2 with Mark Zahra aboard.

Last start winner and previous winner of this race. Has trained on well and this old campaigner appears to be as good as he has ever been. Nice draw should assist him get a lovely run just in behind the pace. Solid winning chance.

Doomben – Heavy 9 Track

3.21pm (5.21pm NZ) – R6 – The Magic Millions Roses (2000m) – Gp.2

Mia Rosa jumps from barrier 16 with Tim Clark aboard.

Stepping up from 1400m looking for black type. First run on a heavy track but looks like she will handle it. Wide draw may work to her advantage. Best class field she has met yet though all signs indicate she is up to it. This is a filly that will just keep taking improvement.

Bendigo – Soft 5 Track

3.45pm (5.45pm NZ) – R6 – Apiam Dairy Vet Services BM64 Handicap (2400m)

Dodge City jumps from barrier 4 with Patrick Moloney aboard.

Conditions and distance should suit this real staying type. Meets a couple of rivals with some decent form in the race but it does fall away after that. Expect he will be hard to beat.
