LILYMORNS' DOMINANT VICTORY

Lilymorn (3yo f Rip Van Winkle x Straight Eight) made it look easy when out-classing her rivals in the OTI Maiden Plate (2200m) to break her maiden and record an emphatic near four length win under the guidance of stable rider Patrick Moloney.

This promising stayer relished the step-up from 1500m after previously showing plenty of ability recording two 2nds and two 3rds in four previous starts.

“She’ll now be aimed at black type, with the Grp.3 2500m Fillies & Mares Race at Morphettville on 20 May 2017 looking a likely target” says trainer Mike Moroney.

Carrying the familiar colours of long-term stable clients Rupert & Cheryl Legh, Lilymorn was selected by Ballymore’s appointed bloodstock agent Paul Moroney from the Windsor Park Stud draft at Karaka’s 2015 Premier Yearling Sale.
