Busy Festive Period for NZ Team

The Ballymore NZ team are full steam ahead with plenty of gallopers out to contest their respective meetings over the Christmas and New Year period, including Boxing day at Ellerslie which is shaping up to be a big day for the team.

1.50pm R3. HURRY (pictured) - Craig Grylls; a really impressive winner at her last start here, she has continued to improve between runs and really looks a picture. She meets an outstanding field of three year old's here with top form. The stable hold her in high regard and with luck in the running we think she can be competitive in this strong line up against her age group.

3.05pm R5. SOUL SISTA - Matt Cameron; put up a brave performance here at her last start and has trained on well. Although she has drawn unfavourably, hopefully she can receive some cover during the race and hit the line strongly for Matt Cameron. She's a mare with a good turn of foot and with some luck she can figure in this Rating 65 field over 1600 metres.

3.40pm R6. AVEC MOI - Craig Grylls; without all favours at her last outing, she was the first filly home in the Trevor Eagle Memorial at her last start on this course and looks to have trained on nicely. She is an athletic filly who looks well suited to the mile here. From barrier two she should receive a sweet run in the race and although this field brings in some good recent form, she's a filly capable of being competitive here as we look to gain some valuable black type with her.

4.15pm R7. ALI BABA - Grant Cooksley; has come through his fantastic effort to run second last week at Te Rapa after having to overcome a wide barrier draw. He draws wide here again, so will look for some luck in the running to hopefully settle midfield with some cover. Grant Cooksley gets on with him well, and if things are to go his way in the running he's definitely capable of striking in this strong field.
