Ballymore Weekend Runners

The Australian arm will present two runners across two meetings over the weekend including first starter Falling Waters who lines up in the Best Bets 2YO Plate over 1000m at Moonee Valley tonight.

To be ridden by Jordan Childs, Falling Waters has been described by trainer Mike Moroney as a ‘speedy’ filly that possesses natural ability and is expecting a forward showing.

“She’s shown us a bit of natural ability in her work and if she can replicate that on the track, she should be in contention – despite the double figure odds,” Moroney said.

Carrying the colours of JML Bloodstock’s Lib Petagna, Falling Waters is by Group 1 winning sire Turffontein from the Fastnet Rock mare Crystal Cheval.

On Sunday the stable are expecting a turn-around in form by the lightly tried Peterangi who will be wearing blinkers for the first time.

“He’s been disappointing to say the least at his last few outings.”

“His work has been super and we’re hoping the blinkers help. On the back of those two factors we are expecting a more forward showing.”

Peterangi lines up in the Admoor Plumbing BM58 Handicap over 1600m at Tatura and Paddy Pilley will take the ride.
