Trio of Runners step out at Avondale

The New Zealand team head to Avondale Jockey Club’s meeting at Avondale on Tuesday with three fillies which all look potential Oaks prospects. The first of them being, the Waikato Stud owned filly, Hurry.

A trial winner last preparation before not getting all favours on debut. She has had a brief freshen up and shapes a much more mature filly this time in. Placed in a strong field, this Savabeel filly has shown us the credentials to be highly competitive tomorrow with Craig Grylls on board.

A impressive run on debut at Matamata will hold Dreamcrafter in good stead for race five tomorrow, a Maiden 3YO 1400m. The Mastercraftsman filly will appreciate the step up to the 1400m after running the fastest last 600 of the day at Matamata a few weeks ago over 1200m, she looks a very bright chance for her connections and Mark Du Plessis, who will retain the ride.

She is definitely a filly to follow once she steps up over a trip during the summer period.

The last of our runners at Avondale is the White Robe Lodge bred, Press My Buttons, by their resident sire Raise The Flag. Press My Buttons has been in the wings waiting for a good track and has been scratched on a few occasions due to barrier draw, however she gets conditions to suit for her to make her debut tomorrow with Mark Du Plessis to take the reins.

She has been working well at home and look for her to be doing her best work late in the race, as she will be sure to step out over further later in her campaign with more racing under her belt.
