Four runners for Matamata

Ballymore will be represented by four runners at Matamata today including Jackpot who will be making his first raceday appearance following a string of strong trial form.

The winner of three trials prior to today, Jackpot will be ridden by jockey Michael Coleman and has drawn a nice barrier in the maiden event over 1200m.

“He’s done everything right at the trials and we are expecting a forward performance from him today,” co-trainer Chad Ormsby said.

That’s How We Roll will have taken improvement from his last outing and goes into the Rating 65 event over 2000m second up.

The son of Pentire has shown above average ability to date and on his day can produce very exciting performances.

“He’s had the one run under his belt and should strip fitter for today,” Ormsby said.

“There is a lot to like about him and is a really nice promising stayer.”

Revelator has experienced his fair share of bad luck and today he drops in class as he contests the Rating 75 event over 2000m.

The son of Zabeel boasts a strong course record at Matamata and will step up over ground for the first time.

The well bred daughter of Pentire, Pentire Babe, will be making her second race day appearance in the maiden event over 1600m.

From the Group 1 winning racemare Honour Bound, Pentire Babe continues to improve and will appreciate the step up to 1600m.

“She’s a lovely filly and as she matures, and steps over ground, she is going to be a nice staying prospect.”
