Ballymore lost a favourite in tragic and unusual circumstances when our high class German import Araldo had to be euthanised from injuries received after the 2014 Melbourne Cup. Such talented horses are hard to replace but we believe we went a long way towards finding one as good when we bought this colt by Araldo's sire High Chaparral at the recent Sydney Easter sales. In Mike's words, this colt is a near spitting image of our fallen hero, with the same aristocratic looks and mannerisms of Araldo.

High Chaparral has been a world class sire and a dominant Classic producing stallion in Australasia through the deeds of his sons It's A Dundeel, So You Think, Shoot Out and our very own Monaco Consul and we thought this colt was the stand-out colt by High Chaparral throughout the 2015 yearling sale series, an extremely athletic colt that exudes class and moves like a panther. And he has an outstanding female line to match - his dam Rare Insight already has a G1 winner on the board through her Coolmore Classic winner Steps In Time and she's a half sister as well to two other dual winners at the highest level in Glamour Puss (Salinger Stakes & Goodwood Handicap) and Vision and Power (Doncaster Handicap & George Ryder Stakes).

With his dam by NZ sire sensation O'Reilly and his second dam by the equally successful sire Centaine, we believe this colt has all the ingredients to become a future stallion prospect as well.
