OPOHO DREAMING RESUMES ON THURSDAY

Opoho Dreaming and Nube Viajera are the stable representatives at Warrnambool on Thursday.

Opoho Dreaming commences another preparation in race two, the Maiden Plate over 1400m with Jordan Childs riding and drawn barrier four.

The daughter of Tavistock showed promise in two runs earlier in the year and Mike Moroney is looking forward to getting the four-year-old started again.

“She’s had a couple of jumpouts to get her ready and her last one was better than it might appear on paper as it was a fast run heat behind a Godolphin city winner and was only getting warm over 800m,” Moroney said.

“Her last start at Yarra Valley was on a soft track and today it will be heavy so that is something she will have to adapt to.

“It doesn’t look a race with a standout, Tango Gold looks the main one to beat but otherwise it looks a winnable race so I will be pleased if she runs a good race and then we can get her preparation started.”

Nube Viajera (pictured) runs in race three, the Maiden Plate over 2000m with Jordan Childs in the saddle and to jump from barrier four.

The son of Lucas Cranach made ground in the straight last start when fourth over 1312m and Moroney says has things in his favour today.

“It’s definitely crunch time for him, he’s always looked like he’d need ground and he’s one that will not be inconvenienced by the heavy ground.

“We’ve added blinkers to focus him and I think it looks a winnable race for sure.

“It will be a nice one to win with the bonuses so he’s there to do his best and with a few things in his favour.”
