Co-trainer Pam Gerard said: “Powers That Be debuted well here for third before getting a bit lost right-handed at Ellerslie. She has worked up well, a tough filly, and she should get a good trip from the draw”.

“Shake That Tush ran a good last start third at Matamata, and worked well since. She is still improving mentally, has good ability, and gained experience from a couple of runs. She should be rounding off solidly.”

“The Boy Wonder drops in grade, but has to carry more weight. We want to see him handier and he does like the course.”

“Nerve Not Verve is against the good three-year-old fillies and we’re happy to have her in the race. Her two starts for two seconds have been very good and the trip certainly won’t be a problem. She has a good draw and a filly with staying potential she should be finishing strongly.”

“Arrogant is drawn well to trail or be handy on the inner. He worked up super on Tuesday morning and the increase in distance should suit on a track where he won a trial.” Pictured

“On The Rocks has worked well and since Trentham, where things never went his way on a track that seemed to trip a few up. He meets a tough field, but should secure a nice position and he always tries hard.”
